The Law of Ueki belongs to Action-Adventure-Supernatural-Tournament anime. The story focus on a boy named Kousuke Ueki. He's a student of the Hinokuni Junior High School. He is picked by a God Candidate, Koba-sen, to participate in a competition where people fight to become God and only the strongest will win. Realize with the ability to turn garbage into trees, Ueki will be join the battle against other Junior High School students in the selection. The students are given a unique power and told to eliminate the enemies as many as possible. The winning God Candidate will become The God of Heaven and receive the Blank Zai, a talent that the winner can choose anything they want. This leads many students become greedy and selfish. Ueki decides to win this tournament to keep that power away from those who will abuse the gift.

In the competition divided into several groups. Ueki meets Ai Mori, Kobayashi, Seiichiro Sano, Inumaru, Rinko Jerrard, Hideyoshi Soya and Tenko in one group. They fight each other to win the battle. They're not only fight for their life but also for their friends and family. They struggle to keep the groups in a complete member. And they learn to work as a group.
