Long time no see!!! Now, I'm going to tell you about the Sub-Genre of Anime. As my friend has told you before there are some Basic Genre of Anime. Those basic genre could be divided into some sub-genre, but not all of the basic genres have their sub-genre. Let's get started!
Action
Martial Arts
Martial arts contains a martial action such as karate, judo, etc. The story tells us about fighting with martial technique. If you want to know more about martial arts sub-genre, you may choose Ranma 1/2 or Zen Martial Arts Academy to watch.
Comedy
Romance Comedy
Romance Comedy sub-genre contains a love story which have some funny part, it could be a silly thing done by the character that could make us laugh. Romance Comedy sub-genre often has a happy plot story. These are my suggestions for the Romance Comedy sub-genre: Mayo Chiki, Kore Wa Zombi Desuka, Honey and Clover.
Romance
Romance sub-genre contains a story of love emotions, conflicts in a relationship. This sub-genre could brings you to be happy, sad, even feeling hurt. You may watch Please Teacher!, Paradise Kiss.
Slice of Life
Slice of Life sub-genre contains a story that could teach us about the life lesson. This sub-genre tells how we live our life in our daily. These are the example of Slice of Life sub-genre: Silver Spoon, Yakitate Japan.
School Life
School Life sub-genre contains a school life story, the story tells us about the school life, how the students live their school live. You may choose Clannad, Baka To Test To Shoukanjuu to watch.
Musical
Musical sub-genre contains a story which some characters in the story could play musical instrument. You may choose La Corda D'oro Primo Passo, K-ON to watch.
Magic
Magic sub-genre contains a mythical
world and actually it doesn't really happen. This sub-genre tells about a magical world that doesn't really exist. You may watch Chronicle of The Wings, Flame of Recca, Curious Play if you want to know more about this sub-genre.
Demons
Demons sub-genre contains a story which has a demon or evil. You may try to watch Kyo Kara Maoh!, Shonen Onmyoji, Yu Yu Hakusho, Jigoku Shoujo.
Vampire
Yaoi
This sub-genre is for adult person, because it contains love story between two boys. I'm very sory because I can't show the picture above. :)
Yuri
This sub-genre is for adult person, because it contains love story between two girls. I'm very sory because I can't show the picture above. :)

Shoujo
Shoujo sub-genre contains a story that suits to teenagers especially girls under 10 to 17 years old. The story has an ordinary plot which suits to girls, but usually it prefer to romance. It doesn't contain any sexual context.
Shonen
Shonen sub-genre contains a story that suits to teenagers especially boys under 10 to 17 years old. The story has an plot which suits to boys, but usually it prefer to battle or adventure. It doesn't contain any sexual context.
